As a hidden guest I will add some robotic spice to Terry Riley’s “In C”, which will be performed at the Volksbühne Berlin on the 16.02.2014 this weekend, together with Tyondai Braxton and Mouse on Mars.
“In C” is one of the famous minimalistic pieces from American composer Terry Riley who wrote the 40-minute piece in 1964. It is considered to be one of the most influential pieces of minimalist compositions and has probably never been played with robots, although minimalist compositions like these which are based on repetitive elements literally begs to be played with robotics!
The event at the Volksbühne is organized by the awesome people from Stargaze who arranged an overwhelming lineup of electronic, pop and classic musicians. Although some shows are already sold out you should not miss this!
